Thank God

Thank God

 Every sunrise, a baby cries and young adults rise,
And we fall prey to an old age disguise.
All because most of us don’t fall on our knees,
But when something goes wrong you find us saying “Please”.
“What did I do to deserve this”,
“Please don’t let my misfortune persist”.
When you could have minimized it all by saying a few words,
Words that if spoken so softly with sincerity can give flight to birds.
I’ve lost family, friends, thoughts, dreams, and years;
But a higher power has always been there to wipe away the tears.
That’s why I try to keep it Christian like a rosary and a cross,
Because you never know when you might just get lost.
Burned rubber, twisted metal, and financial woes,
But still I stand with all ten fingers and toes.
So when you’re out and about and something transpires,
Stay faithful and true and ignore all the shadiest liars.
When the moon waves bye and The Sun says hello,
And you’re intact with the body and mind you were born with;
Don’t think that it’s something mysterious or a little odd.
You better humble your heart and simply thank God.
Almighty.
